The square is surrounded by a number of beautiful 18th and 19th century buildings and terraces. It was opened to the public in the 1950s. This garden square was established by Lord Southampton in 1665 and is the oldest square in London. 620ft skyscraper can be seen from far away and is the sixth highest building in UK.
